DNA Groups

We encourage all of the people of Barefoot Christian Community to grow and mature as disciples of Jesus Christ.  DNA groups are one way to care for one another and help each other grow.

The term DNA group refers to a group that ideally consists of three people – men with men, women with women – who meet together weekly under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.  They seek to be known and to bring the Gospel to bear on each other’s lives so that they grow to become more like Jesus.  DNA is an acronym that reminds us of three key components of discipleship: Discover, Nurture, Act.  In DNA groups, we will help one another:

DISCOVER the truths of the Gospel in God’s Word.

NURTURE these truths into our hearts, leading to repentance and faith in the Gospel.

ACT in faith to obey what Jesus calls us to do and share with others what He is doing in our lives.
